DESCRIPTION:
Clocks- 3 (Three): (1) F. Kroeber Clock Co., New York, "Round Top" shelf clock with a spring driven, 8 day, time and strike movement in a walnut case, c1875; (2) F. Kroeber Clock Co., New York, "Round Top Extra" shelf clock with a spring driven, 8 day, time and strike movement in a walnut case with a burl walnut base, c1872. (3) F. Kroeber Clock Co., New York, "Round Top with Alarm" shelf clock, 30 hour, time and strike with alarm, spring driven movement in a walnut case, c1872.
CONDITION:
(1) The case retains a thin finish. The paper dial is a replacement. The hands are original; (2) The case has a beautiful walnut finish which has aged nicely. The paper dial shows some wear. The hands are period and may well be original. The case top molding has one small area of loss in the center area. (3) Thin original finish with a couple of light scratches. Painted metal dial has been touched up with a white paint that does not blend well. The dimensions provide are for clock number 2.
